Egg Hunt

Today was our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Last year Charolotte was only 4 months old so we didn't participate but this year Charlotte definitely "got" it. We had to contribute 12 eggs to the hunt so earlier in the week Charlotte and I filled eggs full of Nerd covered jelly beans and Peanut Butter M&Ms. She is no dummy, she knows exactly what candy is without tasting it.

The hunt began after the reading of the rules. Each age group had yards marked with colored flags. Charlotte could get eggs at the red flagged houses. Each kid got four eggs from three different yards, a total of 12 eggs but once the 'horn' (someones car horn) sounded it was a free for all. Anyone could take any unclaimed egg. Charlotte had her 12 eggs before the horn sounded and all ready had some scoped out for the free-for-all. She was taking eggs out from under the noses of three year olds. She came out of the hunt with 21 eggs.

Sounds like someone has a job at airport security whenever she wants it.

21? Wow. My kids were happy to get their 12 so I didn't push it. We ended up with way too much candy as it was.
