The Tricker or Treaters

Halloween has never been a favorite holiday. When I think dress up, I think black tie. I love dressing up in big skirts and glittery shoes and doing an up do. But dressing up in the Halloween fashion. Yeah, I don't love that. I think that every year in elementary school except 4th grade I was a baby. Hair in pigtails and wore pajamas. My brother was a train engineer every year. Wow, the Peterson kids sure are creative.
As an adult I am still not much better. Charlotte has had 3 Halloweens and has been 3 different things but they have been pretty effortless on my end. Just go to Old Navy and let her choose any costume that has her size. They at least make nice coats for Trick or Treating.
I felt pressure this year to be more and do more (from who and why I dunno) Charlotte and I made ghosts (mentioned in previous) We made a tombstone with RIP spelled out in orange lights for the front flower bed. We even had 2 little mini pumpkins. This is the most decked out my house has ever been for any holiday.
In the spirit or not Roland was at least a good sport to let Charlotte paint his face before going out trick or treating.

I painted over Charlotte's painting of Roland's face, I didn't do much better. But he at least looked kind of like a skeleton with clothes on. Charlotte did her own painting, she could not decide if she was a happy butterfly or a spooky one. I think messy butterfly is more accurate.
Charlotte earlier in the day was all dressed up with nowhere to go. But was very excited to be painted and carry her trick or treating light. She was practicing her flight as a butterfly.

Isabel did get to go Trick or treating with Dad and Charlotte. This is her running away with her loot. She is fast.

Charlotte resting after making a road with her candy. She didn't get batteries she just took them out of her pumpkin light. On to Thanksgiving.....

Hey Lizzy! Your girls are getting so big! They are both adorable.

I didn't know you didn't like dressing your house up for holidays!
